About Rumford Junction:
Rumford Junction is a Rhode Island-based roots/folk group consisting of Tim Messitt (guitar, vocals); Ed Synan (guitar, vocals); Lisa Gallant (accordion, fiddle, vocals); John Popoli (drums); John DeMaria (bass).
During the pandemic of 2020, this group of neighbors came together to play music on the front lawns and porches of Rumford, RI- hence the band’s name, Rumford Junction. The songs they covered by artists such as Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, The Band, Jason Isbell and more have inspired songs that would become their debut album, Tributaries.
