At EastProv Hospitality, we love highlighting hometown success stories — and Buppy Pets, founded by East Providence native Lauren Ruggiero, is one of our favorites. What began in 2016 as Lauren’s mission to create healthy, clean treats for her own dog, Maui (nicknamed “Buppy”), has grown into a beloved Rhode Island brand now celebrating eight years in business.
Using simple, human-grade ingredients and small-batch production at Hope & Main, Lauren has crafted a line of wholesome, flavorful treats that pets — and even their humans — can enjoy together. Her East Providence roots shine through in her commitment to quality, honesty, and treating pets like family.
These artisanal, all-natural dog treats are made from healthy recipes with just four simple ingredients, featuring flavors like Meat & Potatoes, Pizza Bites, Pumpkin Nutters, PB&J, Strawberry Shortcake, and more.
