As the sponsor and producer of Palagis Ice Cream Summer Music Series, EastProv Hospitality could not be happier for Alex Arteaga and his book “Searching For Peter Palagi”.
Since taking over Palagis Ice Cream in 1998, Alex has striven to keep the Palagi family legacy alive, while upholding his own family’s legacy since arriving in the U.S. from Colombia in 1976. “Searching for Peter Palagi: America’s First Ice Cream Man and Father of the Ice Cream Truck,” is set to be released by Stillwater River Publications within the next month.
Although the book with its whimsical characters and story line is targeted to children, anyone who has ever experienced the joy of ordering from a Palagis Ice Cream Truck on their neighborhood street will find this tale to be an amusing and informative trip down memory lane.
