EastProv Hospitality invites the East Providence community to come together for the 2nd Annual Live Music Winter Clothing Drive, an afternoon of great music, friends, food and community—all while helping bring some extra warmth to local children this winter.
The clothing drive benefits Hope & Faith Drive, LLC, a local community nonprofit operated by Carl and Maureen Sweeney, who generously donate their time throughout the year to help East Providence children and families who could use a helping hand. All donations collected through the drive will be distributed by Carl and Maureen on October 18.
The event is free to attend, but those who are able are kindly asked to bring new winter clothing items for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Suggested donations include coats, hats, gloves and other new winter essentials.
The Green River Band — New England’s Premier Tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival
Providing the live music will be The Green River Band — New England’s premier tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival, bringing the unmistakable sounds of CCR and John Fogerty to The 133 Club.
The band is donating its performance to support the clothing drive, making this a great opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of live music while helping make a difference for East Providence children.
Give a Little. Win a Little. Help a Lot.
To add to the fun—and to show appreciation for those who help support the drive—every attendee who donates clothing will receive a ticket for a chance to win a great prize.
These prizes have been generously donated by local businesses in support of the benefit, adding another element of community generosity to the afternoon.
The 133 Club’s kitchen will be open, serving lunch, appetizers and entrees throughout the event.
The event runs from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with prize drawings taking place following the band’s second performance.
