There’s a new family-owned pizza shop on Waterman Avenue, and for the Yani family, Kelly Pizza represents their first venture into Rhode Island.
Located at 324 Waterman Avenue in East Providence, Kelly Pizza is owned and operated by Boulis Yani and his family, who also operate two pizza restaurants in Massachusetts, located in Fall River and Attleboro. At Kelly Pizza, the family is truly part of the day-to-day operation, with Boulis, his father Sami and his mother all helping bring the family business to life. And the restaurant’s name has a particularly personal touch—it was named for Boulis’s one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Kelly.
It’s a small detail, but it says something about the family behind the business. This is a restaurant built around family, from the people running it to the name above the door.
Finding the Right Fit in East Providence
Boulis acquired the East Providence business earlier this year, with Kelly Pizza holding its soft opening in late March. Over the summer, the family had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the community and begin building a local following.
In August, that introduction became official when Kelly Pizza celebrated its ribbon cutting with East Providence Mayor Bob DaSilva, marking the family’s arrival in the city’s business community.
Now, as summer winds down and East Providence settles into its fall routines, Kelly Pizza is entering its first full fall season—a time when families get back to school, work, sports and those familiar weeknight routines.
For the Yani family, it’s a chance to build on the summer’s start and establish Kelly Pizza as one of those neighborhood places people know they can count on.

Customers can build their own pizza, choosing their toppings and combinations while keeping control of the cost. Or they can leave the creativity to the kitchen with specialty selections such as Buffalo Chicken, Greek, Margherita and Philly Steak, along with the Ricotta Hot Honey Roni, made with fresh mozzarella, ricotta, pepperoni and hot honey.

A 16-inch large cheese pizza is $15.99, while a 12-inch cheese pizza is $10.99—prices designed with the family budget in mind. (Prices based on those in effect at the time of publication.)
And because customers can build their own pie, they aren’t locked into a set combination or price. They choose what goes on it and how much they want to spend.
