EastProv Hospitality had the pleasure of covering the Centreville Bank Stadium Open House on Saturday, April 26th.
The free ticketed event gave the local community a taste of the stadium’s gameday experience with the first-ever Rhode Island FC Classic. The 5v5 matches took place throughout the day, with teams comprised of all age divisions. Despite the damp weather, the family-friendly event attracted a large crowd of enthusiastic soccer fans.
The Rhode Island FC Fan Fest event featured a live DJ, free face painting, hair braiding, balloon artists, cornhole, sub-soccer and other family-friendly activities.
Food Trucks included RIFC partners Chick-fil-A Attleboro, California Taco Shop, and Del’s Lemonade. Fans also had access to RIFC merchandise at the pro shop. Fans 12 and under were welcome to stop by the Rhode Island FC TerRIFC Kids Club booth and sign up to become a member.
18 unique in-stadium concession stands and markets were in full operation, featuring food and beverage options ranging from lobster rolls, clam chowder, smash burgers, dill pickle tater tots, ice cream, barbacoa tacos, pulled pork mac & cheese, soft pretzels and more!
The stadium was impressive and easy to navigate. The staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating, eager to answer any questions we had. What we took away most from our visit was how family-friendly the stadium is, with activities for kids planned for each game throughout the season.
The Rhode Island Foot Club’s home opener takes place on Saturday, May 3rd at 4:00pm when they take on the San Antonio FC.
The May 3rd inaugural game is nearly sold out, with very limited availability at the time of this post. To purchase tickets for all future home games and view the complete game schedule, visit the team website at www.rhodeislandfc.com
EastProv Hospitality’s resident photographer Kerry Quinn captured some of the fun during our visit!
