FALL INTO WELLNESS: CREATE POWER YOGA HAS A LOT GOING ON IN SEPTEMBER

FALL INTO WELLNESS: CREATE POWER YOGA HAS A LOT GOING ON IN SEPTEMBER

Fresh off being named East Bay’s Best Yoga Studio of 2026, Create Power Yoga is heading into September with plenty of ways to move, relax, learn and connect.

Fall is coming—and if you’re looking for a few good reasons to slow down, stretch out and take some time for yourself, you don’t have to go far.

Right here in East Providence, Create Power Yoga is celebrating a pretty impressive recent honor: being voted Best Yoga Studio in East Bay’s Best of 2026. It’s recognition that seems especially fitting for a studio whose focus extends well beyond the yoga mat.

As an EastProv Hospitality Community Partner, we’re taking a look at what’s happening this September at Create Power Yoga, located at 200 Newport Avenue, 2nd Floor, where yoga, wellness and community come together.

And there’s plenty going on.

CPY is also expanding its daytime offerings this fall. New for September and beyond, the studio has added three new unheated daytime classes—Yoga Strength on Mondays and Saturdays and Hip & Back Yoga on Fridays, all at 9:30 AM. Along with the existing Wednesday morning Yoga Strength class, students now have the option to build a 3–4 day-a-week unheated daytime practice into their routine.

A BUSY SEPTEMBER AT CPY

Upward Facing Dog Tune Up — Wednesday, September 16, 6:10–6:50 PM
Upward Facing Dog is a familiar yoga pose—but are you doing it right? This focused workshop explores alignment, variations and ways to get more out of a familiar pose.

Yin Yoga Pop-Up — Friday, September 18, 6–7:30 PM
A chance to slow things down with a 90-minute practice centered around longer-held, supported poses and relaxation. No prior Yin experience is necessary.

Fall Equinox Sound Bath & Tea Ceremony — Saturday, September 19, 6–7:15 PM
This special evening combines sound healing, meditation and a unique herbal tea experience designed to help participants slow down and welcome the changing season.

Community Book Club — Monday, September 21, 7 PM
The CPY community comes together off the mat for conversation, discussion, tea and snacks—a reminder that connection is just as important as the practice itself.

Full Moon Yoga — Saturday, September 26, 6–7:30 PM
A slower, inward-focused practice featuring Chandra Namaskar, or Moon Salutations, followed by a Moon Meditation.

The BIPOC Yoga Series also continues on the first and third Saturday of each month at 9:30 AM.

Different events. Different experiences. But each reflects the same idea: there are many ways to find your place within the Create Power Yoga community.

MORE THAN A YOGA STUDIO

And that’s really what makes Create Power Yoga worth a closer look.

Yes, you can come to class, get on your mat and practice yoga.

But you can also come to learn something new, slow down, meet people, explore wellness, have a conversation, listen, reflect—and simply take a little time for yourself.

The studio has created a space where yoga becomes one part of a larger community built around wellness and connection.

$10 COMMUNITY CLASSES KEEP WELLNESS WITHIN REACH

Community is at the heart of Create Power Yoga’s ongoing $10 Community Classes, offering an affordable, no-pressure way for anyone to experience yoga without contracts or commitments.

With classes offered throughout the week at different times, CPY continues to make wellness more accessible while creating a welcoming space where everyone can show up, move, breathe and connect.

It’s a simple reflection of the studio’s larger philosophy: wellness should be something the whole community can access.

YOUR COMMUNITY. YOUR WELLNESS. YOUR EAST PROVIDENCE.

EastProv Hospitality is proud to support local businesses and organizations that help make our community a great place to live, work, gather and spend time.

Create Power Yoga is one of those places—and apparently, the East Bay agrees.

From a $10 community class to a full-moon practice, a sound bath, a book club gathering or simply an hour on the mat, there are plenty of ways to become part of the CPY community this September.

Because sometimes wellness isn’t about making a major life change.

Sometimes it’s simply about showing up.

And that’s a pretty good place to start.
