Each Sunday through October, the 40-passenger Explorer River Tour boat will take you on an intriguing and relaxing journey in the Blackstone River Valley. Your trip will reveal the serenity and beauty found along the Blackstone River, allowing you to learn about this fascinating landscape, enjoy a rare glimpse at the river wildlife that inhabits this compact urban area, and discover why this geography attracted settlers and industries to the Blackstone Valley.
As the region’s only river tours, the Explorer conducts nature and heritage tours on Sunday afternoons, as well as Saturday evening cruises, chartered tours, special events, and a river classroom education program with customized programs for students.
Nature and Heritage River Tours are great for the entire family! Children love riding on our boat, our fun activity sheets, and discovering and learning with hands-on biofacts…such as plants and small water animals!
Tours run Sunday afternoons from May 25th through October 26th
Trips depart at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Also, join us for special thematic tours rotating each week at 4:00 PM
The Explorer is Coast Guard Certified
All tours operate rain or shine and are subject to river conditions and speed of water flow.
