EastProv Hospitality had the recent pleasure of visiting Bead Chroma, an East Providence Bead Store & Studio that opened just nine months ago at 550 Warren Avenue.
After a successful grand opening on June 1st, 2024, locals and travelers alike are discovering that Bead Chroma is so much more than just a bead store. Along with a growing collection of glass beads, top-of-the-line crystal, stones, pearls, cabochons, findings, and tools, it’s also an educational studio for classes . . . and your new creative “home-away-from-home.”
Bead Chroma offers individual and group classes for all skill levels and all ages. Workshops and events at Bead Chromo range from specialty classes from industry experts to private group sessions for a fun and creative day or night out. Bead Chroma makes for a great Birthday Party experience, kids love making their own jewelry creations and taking them home to enjoy.
Owner & Designer Leah Wyckoff is passionate about providing her guests with what they need to inspire their next project. Whether you’re a seasoned jewelry designer or just starting out, Bead Chroma offers something for every style and skill level – and the selection is growing each and every day! In addition to beads & supplies, at Bead Chroma you’ll also find a contemporary gift gallery featuring pieces for sale by artists local and beyond. Leah has a passion for supporting local and small businesses whenever she can and you’ll find an array of items for sale from jewelry to blown glass, photography prints, ceramic pieces and more.
You can even kick back and relax in the Bead Chroma lounge where you can peruse back-issues of many of your favorite beading publications to gain some inspiration or simply rest your eyes during an all-day workshop. Each month Bead Chroma hosts a Potluck U.F.O. Day, where “UFO” stands for Un-Finished (beaded) Objects! Bring your beady pieces that have been gathering dust (or just whatever you’d like to work on), and let’s all dive back into our creativity together! Bring your beadwork, a dish to share, and let’s eat, chat, and create! Whether you’re a seasoned beader or just starting out, all skill levels are welcome.
